Someone asked me why Hyundai, which has several cars and SUVs on the American market, doesn’t have a pickup truck. That is true of several manufacturers, in fact, and there’s a couple of good reasons for it. I also mention that Hyundai does actually have a truck coming soon. But not like you’re probably thinking.
In any discussion about pickup trucks, especially small trucks, the term “chicken tax” will come up. Turns out, a lot of people don’t know much about this tax. It’s got a long, interesting history (including its weird name) and it’s the reason that the “Detroit 3” dominate pickup truck sales in the U.S. Here’s the skinny.
In this one, I talk about the newly-released Hyundai Santa Cruz “not a pickup” truck. This is actually a very well-done vehicle that is aiming for a specific market and it will hit it really well. Check it out and lets talk about midsized trucks.
Stay tuned to the end. I want your feedback on how to move forward with a live video format.

In this review, Aaron looks at the 2021 Toyota Tundra pickup truck, which competes in the full-sized truck category. The Tundra is most well-known for its everyday work-ability and general goodness. It’s also often touted as the most reliable of the trucks on the market. Here’s what Aaron thinks.
In this review, Aaron looks at the 2020 Nissan Titan XD. This truck has seen a lot of improvement, making it much more competitive in today’s pickup truck market. The XD has dropped its big Cummins diesel engine, but now offers more ergonomics, gearing, and smarter design than it’s had before. Check out this heavy-duty half-ton truck.
The Honda Ridgeline is a unibody-based truck that offers things that you can’t get in other pickup trucks on the market. For most midsized pickup truck buyers, the Ridgeline is a likely fit and should be in consideration. Here I show the high points and upsides to this truck.
Nissan made a lot of changes to the Titan for the 2020 model year. These changes fixed a lot of the beefs we’ve had with the big Titan in the past and make this a more competitive full-sized pickup truck option.
