Our Red Ribbon Cars for 2022

We return with our favorite “put a bow on it” cars for the Holidays! This year, we choose three cars each in the “everyday,” “fun and practical,” “just for fun,” and “Jeff Bezos is buying, so the sky’s the limit” categories. We chose one each for these, making for eight cars in all. Well, maybe nine..

Feel free to Santa Clause any of these for us, by the way. We won’t mind.

2021 Ford Bronco review

In this video, I do a full walkaround and review of the FULL-SIZED Bronco from Ford. Note I said full-sized. Not the Bronco Sport, whose review is linked below.

Is the Bronco a Wrangler slayer? That depends on what you think of as “slaying” the Wrangler. It’s certainly very, very good and very comparable. Which is exactly what Ford aimed for. There are differences, however, and I think that the Bronco, while having a lot of overlap in its audience appeal, will appeal to some people who are turned off by the Wrangler for some reasons. Whatever the case, it’s great to see the iconic and long-dominant Wrangler finally have some serious competition.

2021 Ford Bronco Sport is way better than I thought it’d be

The 2021 Bronco Sport is the new “Baby Bronco” from Ford. Many have been looking forward to the spiritual successor to the Bronco II, but I didn’t expect much. Once I learned that it was a compact and car-based (unibody) in construction, I had little hopes for it being anything special. Instead, I was surprised at how astute this little Bronco Jr is. Check it out!
