Q&A: Which is Safer – Backing or Pulling in to Park?

In this Q&A, I answer a question about backing into versus nosing into perpendicular parking spaces. Such as those found in parking garages and large parking lots. Electrify America Wants An EV Charging Emoji

Electrify America, owned by Volkswagen, is an electric vehicle consortium and charging station promoter that is promoting the idea of an EV charging station emoji. In this quick review, I look at the poor man’s Power Wagon in the all-new 2019 Ram 2500 Tradesman. This setup is a sweet rig for about $50,000. A price far lower than the full Power Wagon model and with all the same capability. Check it out.

Mustang By Design book review

Here I talk about my friend Jimmy Dinsmore’s book Mustang by Design, which includes not just the story of the Ford Mustang pony car, but also one of the chief designers behind it: Gale Halderman. Halderman worked in Ford’s design department for his entire career as a vehicle designer and the Mustang is one of his most iconic and well-loved works.

Automation in Trucking Won’t Kill Jobs

Automation, specifically automated driving, will be coming to the trucking industry. But it won’t happen as fast as some might believe and it won’t put millions of truck drivers out of work. A new study shows the more realistic, likely impact. I discuss that plus my own thoughts on automation and trucking and why it’s both inevitable and not really that big of a deal.
